Ladies Shoes at The Shoe Horn

This is every shoe we stock in one place: trainers, loafers, court shoes, pumps, Mary Janes, wedges and dressy heels from the brands our customers come back to season after season, including Rieker, Gabor, Marco Tozzi, Jana, Caprice and Tamaris. Most of the range is flat or on a low wedge, built for comfort as much as style, with heels for work and occasions alongside. Shop with us in Skerries, Co. Dublin, or online with free delivery on orders over €69 and free returns within 30 days.

Which shoes are best for all-day wear?

Start with a flat or a low wedge and look at what's under the foot. Trainers and loafers from our comfort brands have cushioned footbeds, and many have a removable insole, so you can swap in your own if you need more support. Side zip trainers are the easiest to get on and off, and a low block heel of around 4cm is far steadier than it looks if you want a little height. You can filter by flat, wedge or heel at the top of this page.

Do you stock shoes in wider fittings?

Yes, and plenty of them. Every Ara and Caprice style is made on a G or an H fitting, every Jana style is an H, every Waldlaufer style starts at an H, and Softmode use the UK EE. A G is slightly wider than standard, and an H is the wide fitting, with more room across the ball of the foot and extra depth. The fitting is stated on every product that has one, and our wide fit footwear (H & EE) section brings them all together.

Can I wear my orthotics in these shoes?

In many of them. A good number of our shoes, especially the trainers, have a removable insole that lifts out to make room for your own orthotic. It's a realistic option rather than a guarantee, as orthotics vary, but we state it in the product description of every style that has one, and you can browse them all in our orthotic friendly section.

How do I know which size to order?

It depends on the brand, as each fits a little differently, so the sizing note on the individual product is the one to go by. Our size guide converts between UK, EU and US sizes and explains every width fitting. If you're between sizes or unsure, give us a call on 01 8490847, and with free returns within 30 days there's no risk in trying a pair at home.
