Remonte Stockists in Ireland

Shop the latest Remonte boots and shoes at The Shoe Horn, one of Ireland's leading Remonte stockists. Remonte is the sister brand of Rieker, made by the same German company and built on the same idea — that footwear should be light, flexible and easy to wear all day. Where Remonte differs is that every style is made on a G or H fit last, so the whole range is built with more room than a standard shoe. Whether you're after a pair of lace-up ankle boots for autumn or an easy everyday Remonte trainer, we offer fast delivery nationwide across Ireland and absolutely free returns on every order.

Why do we love Remonte?

We love Remonte because they're quietly one of the easiest brands in the shop to wear. The soles are light, the leathers are soft from the first wearing, and there's almost no breaking-in period. What really sets them apart is the fitting: because every style is a G or an H, we can point a customer who needs room at the whole range rather than at three styles out of thirty. Customers who've bought a pair tend to come back for another rather than trying something new.

What fitting are Remonte shoes?

Every Remonte style is made on either a G or an H fit last — there is no standard-width Remonte. A G is a slightly wider fit, with more room across the ball of the foot and toes. An H is the wide fitting, with more room again and extra depth across the tread. We state the fitting on every individual product, so you can check before you order. Our size guide explains each fitting in more detail, and if you're not sure which one you need, give us a call on 01 8490847 and we'll talk it through. You can also browse our full wide fit footwear section for everything we stock in H and EE fittings.

What's the difference between Remonte and Rieker?

They come from the same German company, so the underlying approach is shared: lightweight construction, flexible soles and a focus on all-day comfort. The main difference is the fitting. Rieker is a standard fit, built with a little extra room through the toe box but without a stated width. Remonte is made entirely in G and H fittings. So if you like Rieker but find them just short of roomy enough, Remonte is the obvious next thing to try.

Are Remonte boots water resistant?

Some are. Several styles in the range are built with a water-resistant treatment, which makes a genuine difference in an Irish winter — enough to handle a wet walk to the car or the school gate without the boot letting in. We state clearly in the product name and bullet points whether a style is waterproof or water resistant, so you can check before you order. You can also browse the full range in our waterproof & water resistant section.

Are Remonte shoes orthotic friendly?

Many are. Remonte build a removable footbed into a good part of the range, so it lifts out to make room for your own orthotic or prescription insole. Combined with the G and H fittings, that makes them one of the more accommodating brands we stock if you wear an orthotic. We will always state this in the product description of a style that is orthotic friendly, and you can browse everything suitable in our orthotic friendly section.

Are Remonte shoes true to size?

Remonte is sized in European sizes and generally runs true to size in length. If you're between sizes or unsure about a particular style, give us a call on 01 8490847 — we're happy to advise, and with free returns within 30 days there's no risk in trying a pair at home.
